Overseen by main contractor, Admiral Construction, with Antarchitecture leading the design, Washroom was tasked with refurbishing the shower and changing room facilities at the London club. Its Luminoso cubicle range, made with 12mm Perspex® cast acrylic, was chosen instead of glass as the ideal solution for the project specification. A uniform frost appearance on both sides of the panels ensures the cubicles provide superior comfort and peace of mind for users.
With hundreds of members passing through the doors of Fitness First’s South Kensington branch each month, the installation had to be able to withstand high levels of traffic and remain in pristine condition. The company required a high quality specification yet practical design, which is where Washroom’s expert use of Perspex® came in. The Luminoso range, featuring stainless steel tubular head rail and pedestal legs, can be specified in any Perspex® colour, which allowed the architects to create a wholly unique, on-brand space for Fitness First.
