Wurun School Acoustic Mural

Wurun School were embarking on a project to create a feature piece in their Senior Campus shared study space. Our client SHP (Sue Hodges Productions Pty Ltd) briefed Mitchells to design and build an EchoPanel® feature wall from artwork supplied by Ashley Firebrace.
Mitchells played a crucial role in bringing this feature artwork mural to life at the Wurun Senior Campus. Here’s a breakdown of the stages that were involved in:
Stage 1: Collaborated with SHP to design cutting files based on the artist’s original artwork, ensuring the best possible results (refer to image below).
Stage 2: Provided artwork design and cutting files for approval, along with a colour prototype for final selection.
Stage 3: Utilized precision cutting machines to cut the artwork according to the approved design files.
Stage 4: Constructed 14 individual panels with MDF backing and labeling, making them ready for easy installation on site.
By working closely with SHP and utilizing their expertise in precision cutting and manufacturing, Mitchell Laminates successfully executed each stage of the project to bring the artwork mural to fruition at the Wurun Senior Campus.
