CNC Knife Cutting
CNC knife cutting offers fast and accurate cutting of PET felt, vinyl, foams, films, leather and textiles. With our state-of-the-art machinery, we specialise in cutting acoustics PET materials like EchoPanel® and Autex®.

Besides there very high-quality acoustic applications, PET materials like EchoPanel® lend themselves to many other applications. With the right machinery they can be easily CNC cut, folded and bent into various finishes. Below is a list of the various cutting and design techniques including knife-cutting, PET felt cutting, and CNC knife cutting that we can apply when processing acoustic PET materials like EchoPanel®.
The maximum material thickness is 50mm.
Thru-cut
Precision cutting is done with an oscillating knife for its accuracy and clean finish. Cutting can be done in straight lines and complex curves.

V-cut
We cut aesthetic V grooves at a variety of angles and depths depending on the application. We can cut at an angle of 5°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 45° or 55°. In straight lines and organic curves.

Chamfer Edge
To achieve a polished appearance, consider adding a chamfer or bevel edge finish to the outer edges.

Chamfer Edge – Butt Join
Ensure effortless installation by incorporating a refined panel-to-panel join, creating an elegant shadow line. Achieve seamless butt joins with chamfer cuts at angles of 15°, 45°, or 55° for a polished finish.

Fold 90 degrees
A V-cut that is not completely cut through the sheet so it can be folded for tight corners or to create a cube. A 45° V-cut is used as standard. When calculating sizes, the outer dimensions of the fold and thickness of material must be taken into account.

V Curve – Convex / Outward
By making several V-cuts, the panel can be bent like bending MDF. Most suitable for a Convex (outward) curve. The number and degree of the V-grooves varies depending on the bending radius. Our design team can make this assessment clear.

Accordion-cut
Making a series of specific thru cuts, allows the panel to bend in multiple directions and angles. This technique is ideal for a combination concave and convex curve. The number and position of cuts varies depending on the bending radius. Our design team can make this assessment clear.

Accordion – Concave / Inward
Using the accordion technique without cutting thru the material, allows the panel to bend inward with no visible cut lines. Only suitable for a Concave (inward) curve. The number and position of cuts varies depending on the bending radius. Our design team can make this assessment clear.

CNC Interlocking-cut
By making thru cuts two shapes can be interlocked. This technique is ideal for making artwork and patterns using multiple colours.
Using our design software, we can design, cut and assemble custom artwork creations.
