EPDs allow manufacturers to report quantified environmental performance information for their products. EPDs are internationally accepted and developed in-line with well-established International Standards to ensure rigour and transparency.

This trusted public database and product labelling program answers 3 key questions: 1. Where does the product come from? 2. What it is made of? 3. Where does it go at the end of its life? Products with the Red List Free label comply with the Living Building Challenge goals of ingredient transparency and industry-wide elimination of all Red List chemicals. What is Red List? As opposed to other inferior acrylic products, genuine PERSPEX® is led-free, non-toxic and food contact rated.

PERSPEX® Cast Acrylic Sheet Food Contact Grades: Clears and Colours which are suitable to be used in the manufacture of materials and articles intended to come into contact with food comply with the relevant requirements.
Perspex® Cast Acrylic Sheet has been manufactured in accordance with the relevant requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006 articles 4, 5, 6 and 7. The polymers contain monomers and additives which are regulated with a specific migration limit (SML).

Products with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are less harmful to the environment and human health and contribute to good Indoor Air Quality (IAQ). Michell Group products contain Low VOCs.

We maximise usage of all sheets and minimise waste when customers use our precision cutting and cut to size services. We repurpose left over materials for projects requiring part-sheets and samples. If we are unable to find another application for our off cuts, we will then reuse them for packaging and merchandising. Our EchoPanel® products are made from recycled materials, predominately post-consumer PET plastic bottles. PERSPEX®re (Recycled Acrylic) is crafted from 100% recycled MMA.

The sheet products that we supply are designed for permanent use and not considered as single use materials. We source products that are designed to achieve the ideal equilibrium between “eco” considerations and consistent long-lasting performance. Post-industrial scrap PERSPEX® and EchoPanel® products can both be returned to their manufacturers for recycling and reuse in new products.

We source many products including our trade essentials from Australian producers. We were early supporters of EchoPanel® which is proudly Australian made from 60% post-consumer recycled PET bottles.
